Captain Pauro Sandros ordered his teams forward through the ruins of the
abandoned hab district around the Southern Starport.
The Imperial Fist captain knew his teams were being watched, but he had
vowed to sweep the area and locate his new priority target.
With Adept Biad-dur found, it was only a matter of time before The Life
Generator was recovered.
Captain Sandros had given authority over to Lord Commissar Krauser to take
care of the Tech-Adept and his machine.
Instead, Pauro was given a new mission by none other than Captain Darnath
Lysander:
bring in the Tyranid organism known as Leader Organism #1324 dead or alive! |
|
Apparently, the Ordo Xenos wanted to study Leader Organism 1342`s special
abilities and couldn`t wait for a strike team to be deployed.
So, Captain Sandros accepted the orders without hesitation. He knew that
Tyranids had been spotted in this destroyed section of the city.
But now, he felt that he was not being watched by bugs, but an entirely
different type of xenoscand that was when he first heard the slight whirring
sound of their War Walkers. |
|
Pauro ordered his men into cover as salvos of scatter laser fire saturated
the area.
The Captain ordered Terminator squads and his Vindicators forward as a
spearhead while simultaneously calling down reinforcements from the battle
barge circling in orbit above. |
|
|
|
The coordinated attack halted the initial Eldar strike, but the Eldar themselves were also planning a counter strike and soon Fire Prisms, Vipers, and Wave Serpents began to encircle the Imperial Fists.
High concentrations of laser and shuriken fire combined with the Space
Marine boltgun and autocannon rounds to level what remained of the hab
unit ruins.
Soon, the captain found himself face to face with none other than Autarch
Jade! |
|
|
The two commanders circled each other before locking in deadly combat:
power fist met with power sword.
The swift Autarch relied on his agility and centuries of combat experience
to dodge the Imperial Fist`s powerful blows before finally lunging forward
and skewering the captain with a lethal blow. |
|
Seriously wounded and outmaneuvered, the captain ordered a retreat.
The Eldar seemed content to let the Space Marines flee the hab zone battlefield.
Captain Pauro cursed his luck at running into the Eldar. |
|
|
|
But later, while recovering from his wounds on a slab in the infirmary,
he rethought his strategy.
Jenys-S II was still a very dangerous war zone and the captain decided
he needed to find a way to locate the Tyranid leader beast without patrolling
around and falling into potential traps.
How could he make the Tyranids come to him instead? |
|
|
Meanwhile, Lord Commissar Krauser , now mostly recovered from his wounds
- was beginning to launch his armored strike into a Daemon-infested compound
in the south.
The wily old Commissar`s intelligence-gathering units had informed him
that the true threat to Jenys-S II was not the rebel commander, Rolando,
but was instead a gradually increasing daemonic presence.Jenys-S II was
in danger of becoming a daemonworld! |
|
|
Krauser decided to put aside his pride (he wanted to hunt down and exact his revenge on Rolando and his rebel PDF forces, butc) and start the process of blasting the loathsome daemons back to their unholy warp realm!
He felt that his men might lose their courage if the beheld the minions
of Chaos during the day - some sights are too terrible to be witnessed
so clearly - so he ordered a night strike.
Unfortunately, his forces became a little scattered in the darknessc |
|
|
The he heard a tortured scream over the vox.
His Special Forces scout, John Doe was being burned alive by vile Horros!
At least now Krauser knew where to order his men and tanks to start shooting.
In a matter of moments, the firepower of the Imperial Guard was unloaded
into the darkness.
Daemons big and small were scythed down by massed artillery, tank and small
arms fire. |
|
Occasionally, a warp-spawned monstrosity would lurch or dash out of the
night`s darkness and pull screaming Guardsmen into its horrible maw.
Veteran soldiers and commanders that Krauser had known for years were mercilessly
devoured or ripped apart by hideous daemonic entities.
But step by step, the Harkonian troops advanced forward, claiming more
ground as they went. |
|
|
|
A few smaller creatures ran off into the surrounding forests, but by dawn, it seemed that the Daemons of Chaos were all but eradicated. Krauser smiled.
He sent out a vox line to his new allies: the Jenys-S Firstborn!
Yes, not all of the Planetary Defense Forces had decided to follow the
radical Rolando Des Gard. Many were more than willing to lay down their
lives in defense of their planet, especially to prevent a daemonic incursion. |
|
|
|
At the same time, Chaos Lord Judass was about to add another unfortunate
incident to his list of miseries.
Completely unaware, he had been led into a trap by the Eldar and instead
of closing in on the location of the hidden Life Generatorche was instead
closing in on the hidden location of Leader Organism 1342! |
|
Before the Arch-Slayer could tactically appraise the situation, his forces
were surrounded by all kinds of Tyranids.
His men were being pulled into dark cracks and alleys and devoured before
even getting off a round with their boltguns.
Before panic could overtake his troops, Judass ordered his men into some
nearby structures and to fire at anything the fled out into the open. |
|
|
His tactic worked.
Soon, the Alpha Legion were evening the odds and cutting down Gaunts and
Genestealers that rushed out into the open.
Then the Arch-Slayer saw the xenos leader - a towering Hive Tyrant with
bodyguard like beasts escorting him onto the field of battle. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Judass had heard reports that Tyranids quickly broke and fled the field
of battle if their leader organisms were killed, so he decided this may
be his chance to end the battle early.
The fierce Chaos Lord lead his squad out to confront the monstrous beast.
Roaring a prayer to the Chaos Gods, Judass blasted a hole through the Hive
Tyrant with his plasma pistol.
Judass looked around, hoping to see the remaining bugs turn around and
runcbut still the Tyranids came on! |
|
|
The fallen hive Tyrant was not the only beast directing the Tyranids. Soon,
a ferocious Broodlord stepped from the shadows to confront Judass.
The Chaos Lord`s armor offered little protection from the massive claws
of the Broodlord and (again) Judass was defeated. |
|
His followers pulled his shredded corpse from the field and left the area in their Rhinos.
Later, after miraculously surviving the mauling, Lord Judass contemplated his next move.
He had been defeated at nearly every turn on this cursed planet!
The Chaos Gods themselves seemed to be against him - Why?
He would have to abandon his plans to acquire the Life Generator and he would have to leave the planet (and hope to keep control over his legion).
But maybe there was one last act of defiancecmaybe there was one last
act of vengeancecmaybe he could smite this planet before he left itcmaybecyes! |

Lord Commissar Krauser had hoped to join his knew Jenys-S Firstborn allies
in the battle against the Daemons to show his solidarity with them.
He was also sure that their battle would uncover the location of the Life
Generator.
But mid-journey, he got word that they had already engaged daemonic forces
near the old pyramid temple ruins.
Adept Biad-dur sat across from the commissar in his personal command Chimera.
gCommisar, you are sure these PDF forces will be victorious-We cannot
risk the Life Generator falling into the hands of the Ruinous Powers!h
blurted the Tech-Adept.
The Commissar stared back, gIt`s Lord Commissar, buddy. And yes, I think
these PDF guys can get the job done. They gave us hell when battled them
a few months back. They`re as tough as nails.h
Krauser continued,
gWhy did you hide it way down here anyway? Biad-dur just looked away and said, gYou wouldn`t understand.h
A few hours later, a vox message came in from Krauser`s new allies.
gWe`ve secured the temple and are executing our extermination of the warp entities, sir!h, a young and nervous voice stated.
The Lord Commissar barked into the vox, gThat`s good, son. Now hold that temple at all costs!h |
|
At that moment, the PDF were packed in tight around the ancient pyramid
temple and waiting for the daemon`s last counterattack.
A huge Lord of Change led the charge on the Jenys-S Firstborn, devouring
the colonel and his command squad and kicking a hole through a nearby Leman
Russ. |
|
|
But the surrounding squads kept their heads (ever wary of the commissars
in their units) and kept pouring lasgun fire into the vile daemonic forces.
The massive Greater Daemon of Tzeentch continued its horrible rampage;
along with a mighty Daemon Prince of Nurgle; they casually tore apart several
sentinels and tore the heads off the crew.
When the Greater daemon finally stumbled clear of the wreckage, two Leman
Russ Punisher cannons unloaded onto it, finally dropping it.
The Lord of Change squawked in a strangely understandable language, gNo,
curse ye humans. I was so closech |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Each squad continued to concentrate fire on their targets until only the cruel Nurgle Daemon Prince remained.
It was carefully and methodically pulling apart Guardsmen who had decided
to hold their ground against its fearsome assault.
Their bayonets and chainswords harmlessly bounced off its armor and it
laughed contemptuously as it stuffed its maw with human limbs and heads. |
|
|
Still unsatisfied, even after gulping down a Commissar in one bite, the
terrible daemonic giant began popping Ratling snipers into its mouth like
little snacks.
gYearghhh!!!!h they cried as they were crushed in the Daemon Prince`s
mouth. It managed to consume over 50 Guardsmen before finally falling to
more high-caliber fire from the Punisher cannons. |
|
The soldiers of the PDF suffered terribly high losses, but managed to scour
the area of Daemons and secure the temple - just as Lord Commissar Krauser
ordered them to. |
|
Several hours later, the Commissar`s convoy of Chimeras showed up, disgorging
more soldiers to secure the area and put the few remaining daemons to the
flame.
Biad-dur began organizing a team to excavate the Life Generator.
By the time the massive xeno archeotech was pulled out of the pyramid, a small contingent of Imperial Fists had also arrived.
The area was purged of daemonic taint, but that didn`t mean other forces
weren`t out there waiting to ambush them and take the Life Generator.
So, they cautiously headed back to Modesty Hive to wait for the Adeptus
Mechanic pick-up ship to arrive.
That meant they would have to keep the Life Generator and Biad-dur secure for just another two weeks.
But with the Tyranids and Eldar both solidly defeated; the Arch-Slayer
crushed in battle; and the daemonic warp gates closingcwhat could go wrong?
It seemed that Jenys-S II had indeed been reclaimed by the Imperium and a handful of heroes, like Captain Pauro Sandros, Lord Commissar Krauser, and Colonel Gary McMillan. |
|
But the final battle for Jenys-S II was not over.
Leader Organism 1342 recovered from its plasma wounds and began leading
all of its Tyranids followers from the mountain stronghold towards Modesty
Hive.
Temptatric rejoiced that he had managed to trick the sly Fateweaver into
his own destruction!
gHee, hee! You thought I didn`t notice your little runt spy, The Changeling?h,
sang the mighty Keeper of Secrets,
gI will have the Eldar Autarch skewered on my sword and the Life Generator
in my other hand before this all over! I will decide this planet`s fate!h
At the same time, the Arch Slayer met with Rolando des Guard just 100 kilometers north of Modesty Hive.
gYou have served me well, Rolando. Now we must commit to our last act
of vengeance. We must not let the Tech-Adept leave this planet with the
Life Generator!h, screamed Judass.
Rolando replied, gYes, master. I am ready to ascend to the next level.
I will give everything to the power of Chaos.h
The Jenys-S Firstborn Supreme Commander`s eyes began to glowc |
