For time unremembered, the Eldar have been a dying race.
For millennia they have drifted between the stars preserving the spirits
or their ancestors and those who have fallen in battle, but unable to replace
their flesh.
But an ancient tale among the Eldar tells of a device, left behind by the
gods, which can bring the fallen back to their flesh; to literally resurrect
the dead.
Nearly all Eldar consider this tale to be an ancient myth and most forget
it over time.
But what if it were not just a tale? Farseer Balbor was the first to have
visions of a device that possessed this power, and others in the Seer Council
of Craftworld Iybraesil saw what he saw.
When pathfinders reported about the Reclamation`s testing on Jenys-S II,
Farseer Balbor decided his visions had been a portent and that the device
had to be recovered at all costs.
The Council decided that if such a device could restore the Eldar to their
former numbers and their former strength, it would be worth any cost...but
if the device were not capable of this and the tales were indeed just myths,
the truth could be a devastating disappointment for the people of Craftworld
Iybraesil.
So, Farseer Balbor has been entrusted to recover this device without revealing
its true nature.
He has had to deceive and withhold the truth from Autarch Jade and this
has weighed heavily on his heart.
But with the Imperium of man sending in their mightiest warriors, the Astartes, and the Ruinous Powers sending their warriors and even vile Daemons into the battle, Balbor knows that there must be some truth to the sought-after device`s power.
Why else would so many armies be vying for control of this polluted mon-keigh
world?
Perhaps the Life Generator really is the device of legend and securing
it will lead the Eldar back to their former glory.
